Dr. Qureshi is a graduate of Dow University of Health Sciences, Karachi Pakistan where he received MBBS (Bachelor in Medicine and Bachelor in Surgery) degree. He completed his pediatric residency training at Lincoln Hospital/ New York Medical College, Valhalla, New York. He did his fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at Brown University/Hasbro Children Hospital in Rhode Island. He also has Master of Science in Public Health Sciences from Penn State University
Prior to starting his practice Dr. Qureshi at Pediatric Gastroenterology Associates in Carlisle, Dr. Qureshi was a faculty physician in Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology at Hershey Medical Center/ Penn State College of Medicine. At Penn State College of Medicine he was Assistant professor of Pediatrics. He was involved in direct patient care both in-patient and out-patient and also clinical research. Dr. Qureshi also worked as general pediatrician in Texas for many years.
Dr. Qureshi is a pediatric gastroenterologist, He presented nationally, internationally and locally on several pediatric digestive topics, including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), IBD, celiac Disease. He is a member of American Gastroenterological Association, North American Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (NASPGHAN), American Academy of Pediatrics, Pennsylvania Medical Society are among few.
Dr. Qureshi’s primary areas of clinical interest include Celiac Disease, Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), eosinophilic esophagitis, and functional GI disorders like constipation. He is speaks many languages, including English, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi
